Anthony and Ash Burch and Ashley Davis and Justin Yngelmo are writers and game critics who make surreal videos in their spare time (or adorable ones, in Ashley's case). The videos aren't that bad.
Anthony, former features editor for Destructoid and creator of the Rev Rants series (now defunct) currently works at Gearbox Software and co-stars in Anthony Saves the World on The Escapist.
Ash acts in other crap, like the feature-length film Must Come Down, and maintains the blog How Games Saved My Life.
Davis likes to draw Pokémon and under appreciated video game characters on nomarios. She used to do Once Upon a Pixel, which aired on Gametrailers.
Justin constantly shoots web video for everywhere. He's developing a personal website right now.

@ Anthony and Ash: I think you’ve got the wrong idea about DDLewis’s character in There Will Be Blood. He is not a soulless sociopath. He thinks sociopaths might have the right attitude, but he sort of wants normal human relationships too. He was trying to share his life with the fraud. When the fraud betrays him, it confirms his suspicions about the exploitative nature of all relationships, so he murders him.
There are also moments where it seems clear that the son he stole for himself is important to him on some deeper level. The end, for example.
I don’t think movies should be taken too seriously, but if you think artsy movies can be a good thing, you shouldn’t dismiss There Will Be Blood so quickly.
Presented without judgment: the “au” in Smaug is pronounced like “ow.”
What I liked about There Will Be Blood was how as a story of a man’s descent into self-destruction it was completely realized by the end, while I felt that No country for Old Men’s ending was really unsatisfying.

When I try to update the podcast on iTunes, I get a “could not download” error because “The URL http://www.mevio.com/feeds/thehawpcast.xml could not be found on the server”
Anyone else get this from their iTunes? I’d rather not use the… *shivers* Mevio player…

so I’m not really sure where to leave this, but i didnt want to make a twitter or fb account so i went with this. i keep up with the hawpcasts and based on those it seems like you guys would like this half life 2 mod i found called the stanley parable.

O my gawd, I think I know what’s happened. I think the people at mevio took offense at the “I know you guys hate the mevio player” comment and deleted the hawpcasts in rage.
Damnit! Why can’t I have friends like you guys? You’re all incredibly friendly, intelligent people, completely open to controversial ideas and overall intellectual masturbation, who share the exact same tastes as I do, and I hate you for it ;D
BTW, you’re mevio account seems to have been deleted. I managed to listen to this thanks to Mirtan, but you might want to look into that.
I was catching up on all my podcasts today, and I found it amusing that the concept of “negging” was coincidentally also discussed in the latest episode of the Sex is Fun podcast (one of my favourites). It’s a really thoughtful episode that helps put this concept into context from a psychological perspective. You should check it out if you have the chance!

Though I’m sure plenty of other people have already complained and stuff.
Also, I just want to let you all know that I figured out you all had a podcast about 6 months ago, and also that, this sounds weird, you helped me through a really difficult breakup. Listening to your conversations and jokes when I wasn’t able to keep busy helped keep my mind off of it and move past it. The podcast is really very engrossing and I love it whenever you come out with a new one! I love the show and I love your podcasts! I hope you all can come out to a N.California convention some time because I would love to see a panel and get to meet you all and then turn into an awkward penguin from fangirling and shyness. Stay awesome!

I do accept as true with all of the ideas you’ve introduced on your post. They’re very convincing and can certainly work. Still, the posts are too brief for novices. May just you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
here’s a few things I’ve learned from your Hawpcast’s, Firefly is a great show ( I wasn’t interested in the show until I heard you guys rave about it ), 2 Nathan Fillion rocks, Ruby Rhod is Chris Tucker’s best movie character ever, Avatar the Last Airbender nuff said, I bought my nephew an Appa before I knew about the show, now I want one, Attack of the Clones sucks more than the Phantom Menace, in Fable 2 you get a dog, Cowboy Bebop does suck, Samurai Champloo is way better, in conclusion you guys rule and should Hawpcast again

Hey, just wondering but has something happened to your guys podcast, I can’t bring it up on iTunes and every time I click on your link to try an play it through your website I keep getting some crap news reel called ‘Hot off the Net’
